Returning from our nine months of extensive travel across the westernmost third of the USA, we were salivating for more adventure action somewhere in the UK.

Hey it was August ... we had all of our camping gear ... what better thing to do than go away for a few days and enjoy the great British summer outdoors in Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales. Well in short, it pissed down! No wonder the famous Ystradfellte waterfalls were fully flowing and the grass was as green as can be.

We made the most of it however. Camped up in a little field at the back of some local farm, it was idyllic whilst not raining. Next day, we took on the nine and a half mile 'Waterfalls Walk' which takes you along the Mellte, Hepste, and Neath rivers. Stopping off midway for a right royal pub lunch in the town of Pontneddfechan. As hearty a pie and chips meal as I've ever had (to be sure)

All in all, enjoyable UK trekking. Would definitely recommend that one for a weekend adventure.
