With the spiralling cost of weddings these days, it is tempting to run away to a tropical island and tie the knot in a pair of white linen trousers, but more often that not, you can't get family and friends out there so we opted for a cosy relaxed British wedding. Splendid.
We're big fans of spreading the wedding over a few days, otherwise it flashes by in a blink. The weather is so unpredictable these days in most places that you've got to have a backup plan or host the event fully indoors. We opted for a more casual approach on the photography. The professional wandered round taking candid photos of guests, but we were amazed at the quality of photos taken by guests. Seems everybody has a digital SLR in their pockets these day so why not make the most of it!
Writing our own vows and the sheer relief of reciting them successfully without stumbling.
Paying the bill for the wedding - ouch! How many travel and adventure trips could you get for that money??
