This is definitely one of our favourite states in the USA for travel and adventure. Basically it's a geologist's dream with the most amazing rock formations and home to the start of the Grand Canyon. You would think that you would be sick of sandstone after spending almost a week here, but it never seems to lose its luster.

We spent two amazing nights camping at Big Bend Campground on Highway 128 near Moab before and after visiting Arches National Park. Waking up in a morning and seeing the sun hit the red sandstone canyon wall that forms the start of the Grand Canyon was one of the best breakfast experiences we've ever had.

The pages below should give you a good idea of the highlights of the south of the state. At some point we would love to come back to check out the snowboarding scene in the mountains surrounding Salt Lake City. Park City, Snowbird, Powder Mountain, Sundance and Snowbasin all sound fantastic.
