Venture north west from the Spanish coastal town of Malaga and you may eventually stumble on a shop called 'Brit Bits' which sells Bisto Chip Shop Curry Sauce granules and Marmite... marvellous!

Home to our friends Mike and Claire, they threw a bash to celebrate their wedding anniversary in the sleepy Andalucian town of Teba.

We ensconced ourselves at a great little place called Rancho el Mirador (roughly translated to 'Ranch with a view') run by M&C's friends Ted and Diane. If you ever need to just get away from it all and relax in a quiet setting with gorgeous weather, then this may be the place for you. The local brew Cruzcampo was ice cold and went down like nectar and the sunset views speak for themselves.

What we failed to appreciate is that these people are passionate about karaoke. It's not just a case of wandering up to the mic when you build up the courage, you have to add yourself to the bottom of a long list of wannabe rock divas. Thoroughly enjoyable weekend, good laugh!
