South America
As part of our 7-week honeymoon agenda (which I had to arrange in secret as Gill wanted it to be a surprise - big challenge!), we headed to Peru and Ecuador with specific focus on scuba diving in the Galapagos Islands and trekking to Machu Picchu.

After spending many weeks in this continent we found it to be very wild and adventurous. Large parts of these countries are still untamed and very cut-off from the rest of the world. This in itself is becoming a rare thing travelling these days so it was special for this reason.

This trip gave us a glimpse of some of the fantastic places that South America has on offer, but we haven't really even scratched the surface. Next on the must-see list is Patagonia (especially Torres del Paine National Park), Argentina, Venezuela and maybe a return trip into the Amazon via Brazil.
