Mountain Biking
Mountain biking is a great means of transport to see the sights of a place. You travel much faster than you do walking which means you can take in much more scenery, you can get to many of the 'off-the-beaten' track locations with the fat stubbly tyres, and it is a good form of exercise too so it's a winner.

We did a lot of mountain biking in the UK, but most of it is not featured on this sight. Fond memories of tearing up the Lake District and biking the many trails around the South Downs Way. Good times!

We even went so far as to include a biking trip on our honeymoon. I'd like to think that there could be some romance on such a trip ... adventurous, beautiful surroundings, quality time together, relaxed pace... [dj scratch] ... not with the psycho guide we had on our trip it wasn't! See the Andes story below for more on that one.
