With such amazing shindigs previously, it took Gill about a nanosecond to work out what she wanted to do to celebrate her 30th birthday ... "Let's have the mother of all fancy dress parties!".

To take this party to a whole new level, friends and family galore were invited from all over the country, a marquee house extension was hired to shelter guests from the certainty of inclement UK weather, a purple MDF stage was made with a big 30 painted on it, glitter balls were hung, walls were drilled for speaker cables, doors were unhinged, and basically all furniture evacuated for fear of being wrecked.

We had a great turnout and some spectacular fancy dress outfits ... well done to everyone for their efforts. Prizes were awarded ... Roly walked away with 'best hired' category as the Hulk and Phil won 'best made' for his Blade impersonation (including dedicated hair cut!). Special mention to the party games that were played with the addition of one unplanned number from Sue Bowser ... 'Celebrity Deathmatch!' ... where characters were paired to role play epic fights, struggles, ankle-biting and inevitable victory.
