Our emigration to Australia sees us locate to Cronulla in New South Wales - a medium sized Sydney beach suburb about one hour south of the city.
Having lived here for more than a month, we're happy to report that Cronulla is a great place to live with excellent views, friendly people, a good choice of cafes/shops/restaurants, lots of surfy clothes shops, and best of all the weather seems to live up to the stereotypical Australian reputation of sunshine almost every day. (Update: scratch that last bit ... after two years of living here, it's proving to be as sporadic as the rest of the world with sunshine one minute and then sideways rain the next).
With such idyllic scenery, it's hard not to admire it every time you look out to the bay and ocean. We've taken to walking some mornings along the beach/coastal path to keep fit ... some days it can be a struggle to muster up the enthusiasm to get out there, but one you've got the stiff ocean breeze in your face and the ocean waves crashing in, you're glad to be out there in the elements.
