Continuing our mega 5-week roadtrip around the western-most third of the USA National Parks, we venture into Canyonlands National Park on a bit of a murky day and in a bit of a lethargic mood after our heavy trekking in Arches National Park the previous day. I'm sure this comes across in the limited pictures and video that we have ... some days you've just got to have a rest and a recharge, but it's so difficult to pass up these opportunities when they're right on your doorstep.
Canyonlands National Park is another one of these weird places with crazy rock formations and massive expanses of barren empty lands as far as the eye can see. This N.P. seems to be home to all kinds oddities in the one location such as arches, mesas, buttes, and canyons. We didn't do any trekking in this park which was a shame, but one must have lazy days on roadtrips such as these to recuperate.
As you'll see from the pictures below, there's a few other things to see of interest around this area near Moab in Utah.
Maybe we'll return to check it out again at some point, but I doubt it.
