Living life down under is very comfortable, the weather is gorgeous, but it's a bit isolated and a long way from the rest of the world. We love the time zone difference down here though; always feels like the weekend starts earlier. We've learnt that Australians love to express themselves in the loudest possible way, whether vocally or via engine revving and tire squealing. Peace and quiet is not something on offer in Australian cities!

We decided to live in Australia for a few years, partly due to Gill's University selection but also to use it as a base to see this lower part of the world since our Asia travels had previously been a bit limited.

Having mainly focussed on the more accessible east coast so far there is still so much to do in Australia and not enough time and money to do it all!
